Compensation: DOE

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all incoming phone calls for Patient Financial Services, providing excellent customer service, responding to the patient calls in a professional, courteous, effective and timely manner
• Position demonstrates the ability to answer all types of calls for all types of patients, regardless of payer 
• Responsible for specific duties related to Customer Service / Patient needs, i.e., processing of Non Government and Commercial Insurance denials for eligibility, return mail, bankruptcies, death certificates
• Other projects as identified 

Minimum Job Requirements: 

• AA preferred
• One to two years experience with HMO and/or PPO contract language and follow-up of accounts
• Medicare and Medi-cal experience preferred    
• Healthcare business office experience required with customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of third-party payer’s rules and regulations
• Knowledge of HMO/PPO insurance
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal regulations preferred
• Ability to review contract language to reply to patient as questions arise
