Our client, an established company located in Fairfield, CA is looking for a Communications Assistant with a strong background in public relations to assist with a project. Must have solid communications skills and 2-3 years experience working at a PR firm. Experience in the Microsoft Suite and social media is a must!
Compensation: $15 - $16/hour DOE
The project will last approximately 6 months, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Responsibilities:

Writing and proofreading press materials

Conducting research and assisting with media outreach

Help to maintain media database

Developing and tracking editorial calendars

Manage publicity tracking platforms and reporting
Qualifications:

Must have two to three years experience working at a public relations agency

Must have strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media (i.e. FaceBook) experience

Must be highly organized and deadline-oriented

Must have solid communication skills

Ability to juggle a fast-paced load on a diverse list of subjects
