The Unity Care Group is a well established community based non-profit, youth development agency. It was founded with the intent to develop educational and social programs designed to enrich the lives of disadvantaged youth.
Currently they are seeking an experienced Clinical Director to join their Monterey Campus. Come join this great experience and help create healthier communities!
OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for overall service development and the unification of residential and mental health service efforts ensuring quality services at the Monterey Campus. Assures service quality, develops teamwork among and across service areas and teams for greater efficiency and client satisfaction. Plans for the ongoing development of agency services and builds strong community partners to establish positive representation in the county.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 5 years experience developing and overseeing program development and management of clinical settings with adolescents.
- Master's Degree in a behavioral science or equivalent and two years of full-time employment as a mental health professional or social worker in an agency serving children in a group home or residential setting.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Offices applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
- Adhere to state, county, and organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines; ensure contract compliance.
- Monitor and continuously improve service quality.
- Develop, implement, and oversee appropriate policies and procedures related to services, administration, and health and safety.
- Maintain Unity Care Group's facilities, property, and equipment adequately and appropriately.
- Develop, implement, and oversee planning mechanisms that promote positive outcomes for youth.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and employee personal information.
- Develop annual service goals that correspond to the agency's strategic plans and goals.
- Participate in annual client satisfaction survey; evaluate results and set goals for improvements based on survey outcomes.
- Set targets for personal improvement based on regular assessment of performance from supervisor, peers, and staff.
- Establish clear systems with clear expectations and accountability for all staff; Support the sharing of ideas at all levels.
- Ensure staff exhibits teamwork through teambuilding and support.
- Act as a resource and represent Unity Care Group within the community.
- Participate in one or more community organizations to increase representation and partnership; Serve as community liaison and agency representative with City and County Government.
- Oversee daily operations of Day Treatment Program.
- Serve as the county liaison for placement agencies, and maintain county records and reports for Day Treatment Program.
- Attend all county meetings relative to residential care.
- Implement crisis intervention between the children in residential care.
- Oversee training for all staff training and development.
- Arbitrate program staff conflicts and provide adequate grievance reviews.
- Professional organizations and community liaison where requested or necessary.
- Oversee needs and concerns of day-to-day program operations.
- Supervise, plan, and evaluate budget program, staff and fiscal resources assigned to the program.
- Serves as advisor to CEO in a creative and professional manner.
- Carries out direction, decisions, philosophy, and administrative methods as established by CEO and Board of Directors.
- Responsible for hiring and firing all personnel.
- Manage Clinical staff consisting of Clinical Program Manager, and Therapists.
- Network with the community to find better ways to support at risk or disadvantaged youth; Seek out new and improved ways of providing services.
- Encourage innovation, benchmarking, and management by objectives (MBO) through work plans and among staff.
- Develop, train, and supervise Program Managers, Contracted Labor, and Administrative staff at campus as primary work location.
- Develop implement, and monitor annual campus budget; Maintain county contracts.
- Implement crisis intervention and plan for adequate ongoing response as needed basis.
- Maintain training for all staff in collaboration with Training department.
- Arbitrate program staff conflicts and provide adequate grievance reviews.
- Oversee the timely address of needs and concerns of day-to-day program operations by Program Managers.
- Conduct regular outcome based meetings that improve the efficiency of services.
- Conduct intake interview process.
- Ensure staff documentation and required paperwork meet audit standards and timelines.
- Work collaboratively with other departments.
- Work with Intake to ensure a 90% billing capacity for all Day Treatment & Residential Services.
- Treat clients, staff, and community members with courtesy and respect.
