On-line magazines and newsletters focused on providing information to serious investors in specific investment sectors is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team. This exciting role comebines a mixture of sales and administrative support working with an upbeat fun group of individual.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: There are two primary responsibilities of this role:
1. Set Sales Appointments – This role will do outbound calls to qualify previously identified prospective companies and make appointments with the appropriate individual(s) within that company for the sales executive. For each appointment, this individual will collect relevant information about the company from their website such as ticker symbol, web address, and recent news and prepare a folder for the sales executive assigned to the prospect.
The individual who performs well in this role will have the phone skills and personality to ask qualifying questions, identify the right individual to discuss our services and schedule an appointment with that individual. An exceptional individual handles the process in a manner that the prospect is looking forward to the sales appointment.
This individual will be working around 100 prospects at any give time. The expected number of sales appointments to be scheduled per week is 20 to 30.
2. Sales Support – For every sales appointment there is pre and post appointment work that this role will prepare. This will include preparing files with appropriate company information on the prospect, debriefing with sales executive after each call to determine next steps and follow-up, entering this information into on-line central data base, preparing the follow up from the sales call and reviewing this follow up with sales executive when necessary. In addition, this role maintains on-line and paper-based files related to correspondence with prospects and also maintains the on-line contact and prospect information database.
The individual who performs well in this role will have a strong attention to detail and follow through combined with a sense of urgency. This individual keeps the sales executive organized, prepared and informed for all sales appointments. All the pre call preparation and post call follow up is completed each day. The sales executive and sales admin will be working closely together to keep an on-going momentum of prospect calls and closes.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the intellectual curiosity to learn, on-phone personality to generate excitement with prospect appointments and a focus on detail and follow up to keep all prospecting activities organized. Criteria for the ideal candidate include proven primary and follow up correspondence and two years of managing high volume of information and activities through tracking and reporting
Base salary of $45 plus plus benefits and opportunity to move into a sponsor sales role down the road.
