This position is salary plus commission, and requires knowledge of the grocery and/or restaurant industry. Coffee knowledge is a plus, but not required.
Overview of Requirements:
You must have at least 2-4 years of sales experience, and be self-motivated. As a Route Sales Specialist, not only are sales skills necessary, but your scheduling and organizational skills will determine your success.
Overview of Duties:
- Maintain and develop existing customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver all orders accurately and timely.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed company and personal goals, including costs and sales – especially managing personal time and productivity
- Build new customer base according to sales plan and territory growth.
- Writes customer orders and relays them to in house customer service rep.
- Plan/carry out/support local marketing and PR activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays and issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Responsible for timely reporting and completion of all our required procedures.
- Inform customers and sell in new products or services.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information. Follow up on all account leads and current events in territory.
- Required to attend any events in your accounts, and assist in-house promotions coordinator with demo and promotion set up and execution.
- Must meet weekly/monthly sales goals as given by Director of Sales.
- Replace stock on shelves or racks and keep all displays clean and orderly. Load and unload vehicle, while maintaining a full inventory of all products.
- Responsible for keeping vehicle clean, both inside and out.
- Must keep a daily route log that includes all vehicle mileage, and maintenance. Set up vehicle service and maintenance as needed, and in accordance with any warrantee.
- Build coffee skills and knowledge of the industry and all of our products.
