Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Alameda

Compensation: $40-$60 per hour

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their company in a contract to hire position. This is a hands-on position requiring a broad range of skills.

Job Responsibilities:

* You will have the opportunity to be hands-on in all accounting areas: GL, Payroll, AP, AR, Job Cost.

* Lead close related activities to ensure accurate financials in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

* Complete close activities such as journal entries and reconciliations in a timely manner.

* Build and fine-tune processes to improve our team's functionality.

* Manage staff up to 5.

* Help oversee our team of 5to make sure operations are running smoothly.

* Work directly with CFO.

* Contract to hire position.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance required.

* 5+ years' experience in construction preferred.

* Highly detail-oriented, problem-solver, and analytical.

* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic space.

* Work independently, as well as in a team environment.

* Ability to think on feet and solve 'puzzles' that arise.

* Very strong communicator with a customer service approach.

* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

* Would be a plus; Oracle Fusion.
