The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reports, and analyzing and summarizing the Company's financial results. Reporting to company owners, the position involves supervision of the Accounting Department personnel in daily accounting functions in support of company operations.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all financial reports are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
- Month-End closing; preparation or review of monthly closing accruals.
- Assisting in budget preparation and analysis, provides analysis of Income Statement and Balance Sheet items.
- Supervising/reviewing work of accounting staff including training and/or coaching.
- Responsible for developing and implementing training programs for all departmental employees.
- Making recommendation of efficiency within the department.
- Works with outside independent auditors to coordinate annual audit reviews and preparation of Company financial statements.
A well qualified candidate will have:
- Must have solid accounting background and ability to apply GAAP.
- Must possess at least 3-5 years' experience in supervision of accounting staff.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work with little direct supervision and know how to set departmental priorities.
- Four year undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance preferred.
