  • Oversight of A/R, A/P, and payroll for several companies
  • Review daily accounts payable batches
  • Perform monthly journal entries
  • GL account reconciliations and analysis, assist with month-end close, depreciation schedules, and journal entries
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedure manuals
  • Implement and maintain compliance tracking for staff as it relates to reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Assist with audits and examinations, as required
  • Perform month-end close functions, as necessary
  • Assist Controller in resolving questions/issues regarding payroll, A/P, coding questions, etc.
  • Special projects, as required
  • Determining task priority
  • Relieve staff when on vacation


  • Prior construction accounting
  • Union, certified payroll, and labor compliance knowledge
  • Experience with multi-company/consolidating accounting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to take accountability and ownership of position
  • Extremely well-organized, self-starter
  • Strong time management skills
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Ready to take on additional responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics a plus but not required
