Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Summary:
A local non-profit client of ours is looking for an Accounting Specialist for a direct hire role. This role is responsible for daily cash management and playing a key part in the monthly/quarterly and annual close accounting cycle. This is a Monday thru Friday role fully in office.
Job Title Responsibilities:
- Perform daily financial transactions including deposits, transfer, and ACH activities
- Reconcile contributions and bequest revenue monthly
- Monitor cash projections and prepare drawdown documents
- Record Investment activity
- Reconcile balance statements
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and record journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports
- Assist with audit of annual financial statements and tax returns
Job Title Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance or 3+ years of related experience preferred
- Experience working with a non-profit preferred
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 with emphasis on Excel preferred.
