Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Location: Santa Rosa
Compensation: $25-30/h
Job Summary:
Our client in the real estate industry is looking for an accounting specialist to join their team. Someone who has strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to work within a team and individually will be the ideal candidate. Responsibilities include full cycle accounts payable including invoice review, coding, securing of approvals, entry, and payment. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciliations, posting to the general/sub ledger, and assist with audit preparation so a strong understanding of GAAP is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of vendor information, including year-end 1099 issuance and report
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare monthly inventory and management reports
- Assist with preparation for annual audits
- General ledger account reconciliations and sub-ledger maintenance
- Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
- Reconciliation of corporate credit card expenses
- Maintenance of various filing systems
- Assist with accounts receivable including process incoming payments by check or credit card, assisting customers with billing questions by phone and email
- Perform administrative and other tasks as needed or as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Desired Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of Accounting experience
- Associates Degree, Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a plus
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures and understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel skills required
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Strong math skills
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and other human resources materials
