Accounts Payable Lead

Well-established organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead/Supervisor to join their team. This role will be responsible for participating in and managing the accounts payable process. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and direct the work of accounts payable staff
  • Maintain accurate records and files
  • Ensure timely payment of all invoices
  • Support month-end close by ensuring AP close is complete and accurate
  • Assist with audits (Federal, State and Bank)
  • Year-end 1099 processing
  • Oversee and participate in invoice posting and all check runs
  • Ensure all payments and AP tasks are done in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Oversee all vendor communication

Ideal qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of Accounts Payable experience with 1-2 years of supervisory responsibilities
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong ERP system experience required
  • Secondary education at the associate or bachelor level.
