Our Walnut Creek area based client has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable Specialist to come onboard on a contract-to-hire basis! This role will be fully onsite.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for full cycle AP in a high volume setting, entering/coding/processing invoices, check runs, etc. In addition, this candidate should be a team player and self starter.

This role can start immediately and is paying $27-$30/hour DOE.


Responsibilities:

  • Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and accuracy prior to payment
  • Assigns expense to proper general ledger accounts and cost centers
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely payment
  • 3 way matching with purchase orders
  • Prepares various reports
  • Process monthly credit card and expense reimbursements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years' experience in accounts payable
  • Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizations skills
  • Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
  • Experience with an ERP is a plus
