Are you an Assembly Technician professional seeking a career growth position with a well-established organization? If so, read on for an incredible opportunity in the South Bay market!

What you'll do:

As an Assembly Technician you will provide critical assembly support for key components required for our client's on-board fuel storage equipment. You will work closely with other engineers and operations team to accomplish prototyping objectives. Specifically, you will support the following areas of prototyping operations:

Responsibilities:

  • Hand assembly of a variety of components within storage prototypes
  • Assembly tasks are mechanical in nature: wrapping insulating fabric, applying epoxy, bolting flanges
  • We prioritize safety, and so the Assembly Technician must be committed to working collaboratively to achieve safe manufacturing goals
  • Follow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work, compliance with all OSHA standards
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
  • Operation of manual hand tools and power tools and material handling equipment as required in assembly and validation work

Qualifications:

  • High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Comfort operating hand/power tools safely and efficiently
  • Ability to stand and/or and sit for long periods of time in performance of job functions
  • Ideally have experience in automotive or aerospace (but not required)
  • Ideally have certification for material handling equipment (but not required)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

Work schedule: Approximately 16 hours per week

  • 2 x 8 hour days, or
  • 4 x 4 hour days
