Assistant Controller
Petaluma

$90,000 to $110,000 annually

We are partnering with a local manufacturing client of ours who is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their accounting department. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting regulations and efficient internal controls. The assistant controller is responsible for managing the accounting team and providing financial analysis and guidance.


Main Functions Include:

  • Day-to-day management of general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the accounting team.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external reporting.
  • Prepare annual property tax returns.
  • Assist with annual external and internal audits.
  • Assist with sales tax compliance.
  • Assist with cash projections and foreign exchange contracts.

    Ideal qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP software systems a plus
