Job Title: Payroll/Accounting Specialist

Location: Rohnert Park
Compensation: $26-$32 an hour

Job Summary:

Established contractor is seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time position offering a great opportunity to learn more about the construction industry and certified payroll.


Job Title Responsibilities:

  • Gather and prepare all timecards for VP review
  • Review for errors and process Payroll.
  • Certified Payroll - Maintaining Apprentice Rates / Prevailing Wage Rates by Job
  • Assist with H&W benefits
  • Update Payroll Maintenance
  • Set up employee files including accruals - pay increases and PTO
  • A/P postings associated with payroll
  • Assist the Controller with miscellaneous accounting entries / projects / and other projects as they come up
  • Assist with job costing
  • Journal entries
  • Expense reporting


Job Title Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience processing payroll
  • Certified payroll experience preferred
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office
