We are partnering with a well-established non-profit organization who seeks a Controller to oversee their accounting department. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of the accounting department and overseeing the annual budget for a multiple-entity organization. Main Functions Include:

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP standards
  • Prepare and review financial statements and ensure in compliance with GAAP standards
  • Prepare financial analysis for management
  • Perform reconciliations on general ledger accounts
  • Review, establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Oversee and manage annual audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Identify internal process improvements and recommend/implement improvements
  • Process month-end close
  • Oversee accounting functions and ensure accuracy
  • Review annual tax returns
  • Participate in annual budget development and recommend changes or adjustments as needed
  • Supervise, train and mentor accounting staff


Ideal qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years in similar role or equivalent experience preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred
