Boutique Federal Credit Union located in Hawthorne, CA is in need of an Instructional Designer/Facilitator to join their Learning & Development team. This is a FULL-TIME, DIRECT HIRE opportunity. The duties of this role will be performed on-campus in their offices in Hawthorne. This is a great opportunity for an Instructional Designer looking to get their foot in the door with a company that is obsessed not only with serving their members, but developing successful, happy and passionate employees as well. This is a new role, in a new department, as part of the company's on-going commitment towards excellence.

SOME ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project Management

  • Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch; providing clear timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurements for successful implementation.
  • Partner with company's stakeholders at all levels to understand program goals and define the learning solution that will make their programs successful.
  • Manage projects amidst ambiguity, competing priorities and challenging deadlines.

Create/Develop Content/Facilitation

  • Develop and maintain reports pertaining to job activities.
  • Develop, update, manage tolls and training of company resources, including best practices and curriculum for soft and technical skill development, as well as credit union compliance training.
  • Design and facilitate training specific to departmental needs, based on observation data and progress monitoring.
  • Evaluate training and development programs and measures results.
  • Modify training programs when necessary to adapt to business or work environment changes.
  • Create training plans and curriculum that align with the organization, department or division's functional services objectives.
  • Design, develop, evaluate and update training content, materials, manuals, tests and related training aids to ensure optimum effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Technology, Psychology or a related field is preferred
  • Expert-level proficiency with all Microsoft Office tolls and applications, especially PowerPoint.
  • Excellent grasp of adult learning theory, educational models and eLearning/instructional design principles.
  • Exceptional ability to handle multiple projects without sacrificing a detail-driven approach
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials in ILT and VILT modalities.
  • Proficient in virtual meeting software, such as Zoom, MS Teams, etc.
