Director of Catering

Job Summary

The individual will oversee managing the catering and service teams. This position will work along with the Director of Sales to accomplish the hotel's satisfaction scores and food and beverage catering sales goals. Primary responsibilities must consist of administrative tasks more than 50% of the time and job duties also involve the use of discretion and independent judgement more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 6 years of progressive hotel catering sales experience preferred; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Show innovation and knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Must have a valid driver's license in CA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, persuade, sell, and influence other executive personnel hotel guest(s) and corporate clients.
  • Thorough experience with professional selling skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent organization and presentation skills
  • Knowledge in financial information, data and basic arithmetic functions.
