Job Title: Director of Integration Development
Location: Remote
Compensation: $180 - 230k

100% Remote!!! Our client is looking for a Director of Integration Development to join their rapidly growing Technology team. This full-time position is remote within the United States, Canada, or LATAM. This high-profile role, reporting to the EVP of Technology, will have exposure across the entire business, influencing the vision and implementation of architecture, design, and features for their proprietary integration platform. They are a nimble team with a game-changing mindset, endless passion, and uncompromising user focus. They operate like a start-up, yet have the resources they need to deliver on their goals.

By leading this team, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact their systems, business, and most importantly, their customers by building highly scalable, reliable, and extensible systems. You'll be expected to deliver quickly and iteratively in an agile environment while providing mentorship and leadership to your team members as they build a world-class platform to disrupt the future of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define interfaces and integrations between internal platforms, 3rd party tools, and client systems

  • Meet with clients to determine their needs and deliver resilient, long-term solutions

  • Act as a solutions architect leveraging your technical negotiation & mediation skills with grace.

  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to represent integration functionality to prospects and the market, at large

  • Build & manage a cutting edge development team and the SDLC from story through delivery

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to those who report to you

  • Establish an integration partnerships network as a marketable company asset

  • Guide the team to realize the vision of a self-service 24x7 cloud based integration platform with guaranteed data delivery, self healing flows, and deep monitoring

  • Partner with Product and other leaders to define, refine, and implement those integrations which guarantee competitive advantage

  • Educate yourself continuously on how we can provide added benefits via the tools that our clients can (now) and will (in the future) use to build their business.

  • Balance the short term win with the long term strategy, while delivering on both.

  • Keep the team connected across locations and multiple strategic initiatives. We are a fast growing company and inclusive communication is critical to maintaining our alignment and culture

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have development experience in Node, AWS and deep expertise in API development

  • Significant experience as a solutions architect or sales engineer with a track record of delivering

  • Must be able to use Postman at a minute's notice with a client watching.

  • Experience managing or leading a team is a must.

  • Communication expertise is required; you will be the day-to-day face of the company's technology for many clients.

  • A degree in CS or related field is nice but aptitude and experience trump.

  • Proven track record of building and delivering high quality, scalable SaaS products and platforms

  • A passion for adopting modern software development practices to foster creativity, flow, and on-time delivery

  • Hands-on expertise in building out and connecting API frameworks, especially REST.

  • Experience with real-time messaging & queuing frameworks

  • Expertise with authentication and authorization models

  • Demonstrable experience building enterprise quality scalable infrastructures on AWS.

  • Proven ability to provide open and frequent communication across the organization to build strategic partnerships internally and deep, business relationships externally.
