Job Title: Early Collections Service Representative .
The Early Collections Service Rep. will be responsible for resolving delinquency on automobile loans, negotiating payment arrangements; skip tracing to locate customers or units, and reviewing accounts for repossession. This position is a manual queue-based calling environment with substantial auto-dialing. SA DSC Level 2's works in a structured team setting with shared goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Review open accounts for collection and skip trace efforts
- Handle inbound/outbound collection calls in a professional manner
- Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
- Strategize work queues according to company objectives
- Skip trace to locate customer or unit
- Identify opportunities for account recourse
- Send all applicable statutory notices
- Review accounts for repossession
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and review with a supervisor as needed.
- Review and monitor any assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
- Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
- Follow and maintain policies and procedures in all aspects of the position
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED/College degree preferred
- 2+ years of collections and skip tracing experience
- Must have previous auto collections experience preferred
- Working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Proficient MS Office Suites, and Internet Explorer
- Must be able to clear background and fingerprinting screening
