Nelson Connects has partnered with a local manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa to search for their next Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator!

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour depending on experience.

What you'll do:

Responsible for providing professional safety and health support to the client site to improve and maintain safety culture.
Conduct incident investigations with a focus on preventative measures.
Maintain safety incident documentation, follow up on correction action, track performance and maintain consistent compliance.
Assist with developing and maintaining safety and health procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment.
Ensure PPE is available and being used correctly.
Ensure SDS and LOTO procedures are current and available.
Issuing permits and monitoring permitted work such as confined spaces.
Manage and maintain federal and state regulations including OSHA and Iowa IDNR.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

Associates degree or 1-2 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, agricultural or related field.
Proven experience in leading change and implementing new ideas and concepts.
Working knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and standards.
Working knowledge of metrics, financial, business, and statistical analysis.
Responsive and high-quality customer service orientation.
Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Selected candidates must meet all pre-employment requirements.
Strong leadership, problem solving, organizational, communication and decision-making skills.
Ability to travel 5-10% of the time to other company operations.

Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Shift: Monday thru Friday 6am-2:30pm
