High-end semiconductor leader tailoring its project line to medical, pharmaceutical and aerospace industries is seeking a Facilities Technician to help augment facilities and maintenance departments.

In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out a number of diverse tasks. Most of the day to day duties are, but not limited to:

  • Preventative and routine facilities maintenance, renovation and/or construction duties, basic handyman duties including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning and/or plumbing.
  • Assist and/or directs outside maintenance and construction contractors.
  • Coordinates building equipment repairs and new equipment installations.
  • Maintain and/or modify Employee workstations.
  • Perform systematic inspections of campus and buildings.
  • Monitor and coordinate maintenance of buildings critical systems such as: fire alarm system, HVAC, Emergency generator, UPS, Security systems.
  • Preparing and submitting of purchase order requests.
  • Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

Required experience:

  • Minimum 2 years field experience with trade school training of 5 years total field experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good computer skills, proficient in MS office Programs
  • Superior customer service skills and orientation. Collaborative style needed with ability to maintain professionalism at all time even under stressful situations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints without direct supervision
  • Sound troubleshooting skills and the capacity to fully resolve problems
  • Formal training in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and HVAC systems or equivalent experience
  • Ability to interpret or work from sketches, building plans & specific instructions
  • Ability to lift items at least 25 pounds
