Facility Maintenance Specialist - Semiconductor
San Jose, CA

We are seeking a Facility Maintenance Specialist - Semiconductor to become a part of our team! You will perform necessary work to keep semiconductor machines, vacuum equipment, and structure of an establishment in repair.

The first 4-6 months in the role you will help own the project of assisting with the company move after 12 years in Sunnyvale to our new facility in South San Jose. This will include the project of assessing our current equipment and related electronics, organizing and documenting said equipment, coordinating with others for disposition, determining and documenting what to keep, what to re-organize, what to sell, and what to dispose of, as well as tracking the status of everything for future reference.

Project Responsibilities

· Document all equipment and electronics (and miscellaneous items) by department.

· Group/Organize like items within each department, function and/or location (with guidance from management or Department Engineer).

· Add to documentation which equipment and electronics have SLM asset tags (or should have) and work with Finance to determine their "asset" (keep on the books or dispose of).

· Organize cabinets in different areas with guidance from department engineer or others.

· Disposition of obsolete equipment including selling and/or scrapping units.

· Testing of spare equipment to determine functionality.

· Coordination of equipment calibration.

· Lead effort to disposition hazardous waste.

Overall Responsibilities:

· Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings

· Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion

· Order and replace broken parts or equipment

· Maintain a clean and a safe work space

· Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

· Semiconductor Equipment maintenance experience

· Vacuum equipment maintenance

· Previous experience in facility maintenance or related fields

· Well-organized to successfully manage documentation, lists, labeling, record keeping of all company property, and the corresponding disposition

· Good people skills to work with and get results from various levels of management and engineering and external resources.

· Able to identify and resolve problems

· Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment

· Deadline and detail-oriented

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Adaptable to changing priorities or processes

· Ability to handle physical workload
