Human Resources Representative
Union City, CA

We are seeking a Human Resources Representative for our manufacturing facility in Union City. You will provide administrative and functional support for our Human Resources group with a heavy emphasis on recruitment related activities in addition to general HR support. This is a full-time salary position. All work will be done on site at out Union City headquarters.

Hybrid position - 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Essential Functions:

* Primary area of responsibility is recruitment and recruiting related activities, including but not limited to posting openings both internally and externally sourcing direct hire candidates, reviewing applications, applicant tracking, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and all related follow-up through the offer and new hire process. Includes internal and external communications to HR, company personnel, and candidates.
* Prepares and maintains employee files, accurately completes new hire HRIS entry and coordinates with Payroll. May conduct New Hire Orientation.
* Participates in planning and delivery of company-wide activities: quarterly meetings, service awards, open enrollment, salary review, policy implementation, training events, etc.
* Responsible for general HR support including (but not limited to) employee file maintenance and general filing, updating company bulletin boards with HR announcements, employment verifications, internal audits, miscellaneous HR projects as assigned, maintaining New Hire documents and creating New Hire packets, manages order and delivery of breakroom supplies, plans and orders lunch for Quarterly All Hands Meetings and other miscellaneous events, maintains company swag inventory and distribution, and assists with benefit administration, including bill reconciliation, employee queries, and COBRA enrollment monitoring.

Minimum Job Requirements & Education:

* 2+ year's prior office experience along with an Associate's or bachelor's degree in an HR-related field. PHR, SHRM-CP, or HR Management Certificate a plus.
* Basic understanding of state and Federal labor law, including wage & hour, benefits, worker's compensation, and EEO requirements, a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating in a professional office setting with ability to interact and communicate in a confident and friendly manner with all levels of the organization. Solid interpersonal skills a must.
* Able to use independent judgment regarding recruitment activities and in understanding the needs of the hiring supervisor/manager, while working with a sense of urgency and priority.
* Able to maintain confidentiality of information, activities, or processes, both within and outside the company.
* Proven ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments, and remain organized with multiple deadlines while delivering detailed follow through with a strong attention to detail.
* Dependable, team player, who is flexible with changing gears and priorities fluidly, and a quick learner who can perform a wide range of tasks. Someone who is inquisitive, loves new challenges, and able to do more with less.
* High level of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
