HRIS MANAGER
(Large Food Manufacturer with 4 manufacturing plants including California and Canada)
CHICAGO AREA
Salary DOE - $130,000 - $160,000 including 10% bonus - Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote)
The HR Technology Manager is responsible for managing the foundational HR system platforms in place to support the employee life cycle. This position guides the strategy and is responsible for the development, implementation, testing, management, and optimization of all aspects of our HR Technology as well as processing all payrolls. The role provides system and technical support, proactively problem solves issues with various stakeholders including employees, managers, leadership team and HR business partners. The HR Technology Manager sets the HR strategy, standards and installs at the plant level. This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users across all our locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes weekly payrolls including set up of new entities, new or revised pay programs to ensure an accurate payroll is processed for every employee
Provide guidance on prevailing laws governing payroll, income taxes, garnishments, reimbursements & other statutory pay
Establishes procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records and other related HR data
Ensure alignment between all system platforms used in the HR function including the research and implementation of new features and functionality enhancements
Set up configuration for state and local tax withholding and reporting to support remote workers
Set up system configuration and administration of UKG to expand data available to employee
Drive continuous enhancement of our systems capability
Perform regular business process reviews and make ongoing suggestions to enhance the HR technology roadmap
Work with HR team to review system use and improvement and automation opportunities of system and reporting
Develops and maintains standard reports, partners with key stakeholders to create custom reports on an ad hoc basis to support business needs; drive HR analytics and delivery
Responsible for the management of data analysis for HR, identify key themes, data trends, provide insight to HR team
Maintains people information in BI reporting, including the executive briefing book
Assume responsibility for routine system and HR audit activities; assist with various external audits such as 401k and workers' compensation
Partner with the Total Rewards Manager to implement compensation structures & benefits programs to ensure continuity related to the administration of the compensation structure and benefits programs as it relates to the HR technology
Partner with finance and IT on payroll issues
Communicate and comply with our established policies and procedures, including corporate guidelines on business ethics
Partner with key stakeholders to define and implement efficient and effective HR processes and procedures that leverage technical capabilities for the collection, maintenance, and reporting of data. This includes automation, elimination of non-value added work, and other activities to improve HR Operations.
Develops and promotes proactive approaches using the HRIT to solve business needs/problems
Provide training on all HR technology platforms to all corporate and local HR team members
