Are you an HR professional looking to keep your skills and knowledge based sharp and up to date? If so, read on for an incredible contract role in the Stockton market for a distribution company.

This is a direct hire full-time standalone in office role, the main projects the incumbent will accomplish and focus on:

  • Employee guidance for leaves of absences (FMLA, disability, maternity, and more).
  • Maintaining federal and state absence laws and regulations.
  • Working alongside a broker on open enrollments for health benefits.
  • Maintain and/or develop benefit policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that plocies created are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be the liaison between employees and 401K plan admin to ensure a smooth flow in employee requests.
  • Ensure resolutions for benefits inquiries and concerns.
  • Managing and maintaining a compliant personnel files.
  • Audits HR database actions to ensure timely enrollment.
  • Processes monthly billings and system reconciliations.

Other functions of the role may be:

  • Identify training needs and create or procure professional development curriculum.
  • Provide input on workforce and succession planning.
  • Maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR purview.
  • Interpret human resources policy to company management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related field.
  • Previous experience in human resources, professional development and training, or employee relations is a must
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including workers' compensation, union relations, and federal and state employment laws
  • SHRM or PHR preferred
