IT Support Technician

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing the following IT support activities:
    • Installing and removing desktop and laptop computers as required
    • Installing and uninstalling software packages as required (both on-site and remotely)
    • Upgrading and patching computer systems' OS as required
    • Troubleshooting, upgrading, and fixing problems with computer hardware and software
    • Conducting periodic maintenance on desktop systems as required
    • Assisting with user administration including adding users, removing users, and conducting password resets
    • Implementation of new software to employees.

      About You

  • Maintaining information security by implementing the following:
    • Anti-virus software
    • Hardware Encryption
    • Two-factor authentication
  • IT support desk that accomplishes the following:
    • Enables employees to request support for hardware and software issues through a ticketing system
    • Tracks ticket status and resolution
    • Provides timely support to employees in the U.S., Canada, and Europe
  • Other duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Developing, communicating, and implementing IT programs, policies, and procedures to include the following:
      • IT onboarding for new hires
      • Information security
      • IT support
  • Are an inquisitive, lifelong learner
  • Are willing to show vulnerability and admit mistakes
  • Are a critical and exercise good judgement
  • Are observant and capable of discerning specific information valuable to report
  • Enjoy and are good at analyzing information
  • Are self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have strong relationship/team building skills

    Your Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with IT support hardware and software based
  • Experience with Windows systems from Windows 98 to Current build

    Bonus:

  • CompTIA A+ certificate
  • Experience speccing and building computers
  • Experience with remote help desk software
  • Experience with networking
