In this role, you'll be developing wire harness solutions for our L3 vehicle fleet that is a flexible but tough platform for proving out our autonomous driving technology. The performance and stability of this platform is critical to our mission, and you'll be a key player in this highly collaborative project.


  • Lead the resolution of electrical/physical integration and optimization issues with other teams on a daily basis, including: Low Voltage Systems, CATIA Integration, CAE Crash Analysis, Vehicle Durability and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Design components for ease and efficiency of manufacture and installation in vehicles. Work with manufacturing and assembly process engineers for successful implementation.
  • Verify final pinout of system components and connectors with vendor datasheets and wiring schematics.
  • Work with other engineers throughout the development process to implement best practice harness designs.
  • Generate wire harness drawings for release to suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct root cause investigations, document your work, and drive issue resolution including short-term reworks and long-term solutions.
  • Work with supplier change management and implementation processes.


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in harness design (for 1 position).
  • 1-3 years of experience in harness design (for 1 position).
  • Understanding of harness manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and efficiently manage requests from diverse development and support teams.
  • Hands-on experience in the processes involved in fabricating and inspecting wire harnesses.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and/or 3DX.
  • Automotive, aerospace, or safety critical industry experience.
  • Experience in Mentor Graphics Custom plugin development and report generation
  • Experience using Capital/Mentor Graphics Topology, HarnessXC Bridging
