Position Overview:

The Maintenance Manager leads the site maintenance team (15-20) to deliver world class reliability and production results by continuously improving the preventative and predictive maintenance systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Role models and follows all safety procedures and reinforces a safe work environment with the maintenance team and the site.

· Drives continuous improvement of equipment reliability and uptime using the Company's maintenance management operating system.

· Leads the maintenance team in the repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

· Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

· Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.

· Modifies programming of PLCs and related equipment such as controllers and programmable controllers.

· Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

· Relays and enforces company policies, good manufacturing practices (GMP's), environmental, health and safety regulations.

· Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

· Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

· Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

· Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

· Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.

· Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

· Maintains time and production records.

· Confers with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.

· Carries out supervisory and management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

· Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees within the Production Maintenance Department.

· Plans, assigns, and directs work of the Production Maintenance Department employees as well as prepares performance appraisals; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

· Works with a sense of urgency and drives a sense urgency with his/her team.

· Proactively communicate when problems arise and develops plans to resolve.

· General

o Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

o Perform all other duties as assigned.

o Regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related field, preferred.

· High school diploma or GED, required.

· Minimum of four years of related leadership experience in a manufacturing and packaging facility required.

· Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
