Nelson Connects is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for leading food manufacturing company located in Rohnert Park, CA.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will

Prepare and maintain production machines and supporting equipment
Test boiler and water softeners, verify blow-downs and check safety cut-outs
Open and close boiler for annual inspections
Welding - stainless, sanitary and steel. Assembling PVC, ABS and copper piping
Troubleshoot plant equipment problems and plant refrigeration equipment
Operate forklift and other rental equipment
Filter replacement as necessary
Grounds keeping as needed
Other duties as required

Requirements for this role:

High school diploma
Electrical certification
PLC experience
Welding - Arc, TIG, MIG
HVAC certification, diary and/or liquid processing, refrigeration, waste water and waste water treatment knowledge/experience preferred
Advanced electrical troubleshooting
Competent in assembling PVC, ABS, copper piping (sweating copper piping)
Competent Commercial electricity - 220v and above
Competent in commercial refrigeration, EPA Certified
GMP and HAACP training
Knowledge of carpentry, power tools, basic math, calculations and conversions
Must be able to communicate in basic English both oral and written. Spanish preferred but not required

Physical Requirements for this role:

Standing, climbing, bending. Stooping, pushing, pulling, - repetitive
Ability to work at high elevations (rooftops, tops of tanks), climbing and balance is essential
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to work around farm animals
Ability to withstand all outdoor working environments (heat, cold, etc.)
Ability to lift, hold and/or carry 55 lbs., unassisted

Pay Rate is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. DOE.
