Not-For-Profit Audit Manager

An established national public accounting firm is seeking a Not-for-Profit (NFP) Audit Manager to join its growing team and oversee the department. This role offers remote flexibility, excellent benefits, and a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will live in Sacramento or within a commutable distance of Sacramento for occasional in-person meetings.


Main Functions Include:

  • Plan, execute, direct and complete financial audits for NFP organizations
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of common audit procedures and techniques
  • Research and analyze financial statements and audit related issues
  • Distribute tasks and review work of senior and associate level employees
  • Offer mentorship and training to help develop new employees

Ideal qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 4+ years' experience in general auditing role with exposure to not-for-profit audits
  • Supervisory experience
