We are recruiting for an Operations and Accounting Manager for a multi-unit agribusiness company located near Modesto, CA. The Operations and Accounting Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the financial, operational, strategic, and administrative functions of the company, including the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and results driven leader with 5+ years of management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor company's policies and procedures to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results to ensure a high level of performance.

  • Evaluate current business practices and make recommendations on the impact of long-range growth initiatives.

  • Provide an analysis of budgets, financial reports and trends, and operational procedures and present findings to owners and senior leadership team to assist with developing business strategy.

  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Evaluate company's operational, financial, and sales structures to plan for continual improvements and a continual increase of operating efficiencies.

  • Establish credibility and a line of communication throughout the organization.

  • Identify business challenges and effectively develop solutions.

  • Consistently work to improve the planning and budgeting process by educating departments and key leaders on efficiency practices.

  • Provide advice and strategic input on key decisions including acquisitions, partnerships, and capital improvements.

  • Management of company safety and risk management programs.

  • Provide assistance and oversight of audits to ensure compliance.

  • Working closely with owners and third-party CPA firm in financial planning and results management.

  • Develop cash flow projections for all entities, including setting a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, brokers, and banks.

  • Manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.

  • Continuously work to foster an environment of teamwork and diversity, while acting as a mentor and leader to staff at all levels.


  • Proactive leader and problem solver with 5+ years of management experience

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

  • Agriculture industry experience preferred

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Excel skills
