Globally recognized seafood distributor has a US based operations in Hayward. At present, seeking teammates for their Packaging, Production and Boxing departments to keep up with growing demand. These are contract to hire, labor intensive (light to moderate activity levels) which offer growth from within.

To succeed in this role, you'll be tasked with the following but not limited to:

  • Weighing, measuring and scooping product into packaging materials.
  • Defrosting - Bringing raw materials out of freezer, opening the boxes, and putting the frozen materials on racks for thawing. Bringing defrosted materials to the processing room.
  • Measuring raw materials and other ingredients for each product batch. Operating mixing machines, spinning machines and ozone machine.
  • Cleaning equipment and floor with appropriate detergents.
  • Strapping or taping packed products together in bundles.
  • Putting packed products in appropriate boxes.
  • Sealing boxes with tape.
  • Printing outside box labels and affixing them on boxes.
  • Follow GMP/SQF procedures and policies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Intermediate English (speaking, understanding, reading and writing)
  • 6 months of experience in production line or handling heavy duty products
  • Experience working in fast-paced, physical environment
  • Background in the food industry

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (on occasion overtime requested).

Assignment is contract to hire.

$17-$19 per hour.
