Job Title: Payroll Accountant

Location: San Francisco

Compensation: $75-80k

Job Title Responsibilities:

* Process payroll accurately and timely using ADP

* Manages bi-weekly payroll processing for a 300+ employee non-profit organization (80%); need to be onsite Monday through Wednesday during the week of payroll processing.

* Full-cycle A/P (20%)

* Record General Ledger (including intercompany) entries, monthly reconciliations, and prepare audit schedule related to payroll and A/P

* Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including taxes and other payroll-related liabilities

* Verify accuracy of employee data, time and attendance, and benefits deductions

* Resolve payroll-related discrepancies with employees and management

* Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries

* Assist with month-end closing and other accounting duties as needed

* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Job Title Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

* 2+ years of experience in payroll G/L experience, or 2 years of college accounting courses

* Strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and procedures

* Proficient in ADP or Paylocity software experience processing payroll for 100+ employees

* MIP software experience a plus, not required.

* Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
