Payroll Clerk
Napa County, CA

Our client in Napa County is seeking a full-time, temporary Payroll Clerk to join their office.

  • Perform all tasks necessary to process weekly and bi-weekly payroll including preparing manual weekly and bi-weekly checks
  • Maintain payroll records such as tax information, garnishments, benefit deductions, vacation, sick accruals and timesheets
  • Prepare various bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports and journal entries including monthly FLC payroll reports
  • Process payment of quarterly and annual state taxes
  • Bank reconciliation for payroll and cafeteria accounts
  • Keep records of uncashed checks and then forward to the state
  • Maintenance of PTO and sick accrual balances
  • Filing, and other assistance as needed
  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience in a large company
  • Basic understanding of federal and state payroll and labor regulations
  • Must have strong computer skills, including payroll software and Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self directed and ability to problem solve and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Vineyard Management software experience a plus
