Job Title: Payroll GL Accountant

Location: Santa Rosa

Compensation: $35-$40 an hour

Job Summary:

We are partnering with a family-owned client of ours who is looking for a Payroll GL Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for processing payroll and accounting functions. This is a full-time position fully on-site.

Job Title Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Entries and account reconciliation
  • Assist with month-end general ledger closing
  • Assist with audits
  • Provide support for hiring and separation of employee process
  • Assist with benefits questions
  • Answer EDD requests
  • Process payroll and perform associated tasks
  • Review timesheets for accuracy
  • Prepare manual checks/direct deposits
  • Maintain payroll system data including court ordered garnishments
  • Reconcile employee benefits and payroll deductions
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of year-end payroll such as W2 and 1095 notices

Job Title Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting role.
  • Experience with IBS payroll system a plus
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks online a plus
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge required
  • HR knowledge a plus
