Payroll Specialist

Rapidly growing housing company is searching for a Payroll Specialist to join their team for a newly developed role. The ideal candidate has experience in multi-state payroll and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. This is a full time, temp-to-hire role.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Process multi state payroll
  • Respond to email inquires
  • Research inquiries regarding payroll transactions
  • Audit payroll files, edit and enter data into computer files, and compute wages and deductions
  • Process payroll checks, run reports, and post information to database
  • Complete wage verification reports
  • Assist with HR tasks such as benefits, recruiting, and onboarding when necessary

Ideal qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members
