Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Santa Rosa
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 annually

Job Summary:

A local client of ours in the Construction Industry is looking for a Payroll Specialist for a direct hire role. This role is responsible for processing certified payroll for over 100 employees. This opportunity will require someone work in office Mon-Fri.

Job Title Responsibilities:

  • Submit and track certified payroll for projects
  • Review and process weekly payroll for all employees (union and non-union)
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with contracts
  • Maintain apprentice rates, prevailing wage rates by job
  • Set up employee files including accruals, pay increases and PTO.
  • Track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
  • Audit State and Federal prevailing wage projects
  • Update monthly union spreadsheets and submit hours in union portals
  • Work with subcontractors to get their certified payroll
  • Onboarding, benefits administration, and some recruiting

Job Title Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll with some HR knowledge preferred
  • Experience in Construction industry a plus
  • Knowledge of Certified payroll/unions a plus
