Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 annually
Job Summary:
A local client of ours in the Construction Industry is looking for a Payroll Specialist for a direct hire role. This role is responsible for processing certified payroll for over 100 employees. This opportunity will require someone work in office Mon-Fri.
Job Title Responsibilities:
- Submit and track certified payroll for projects
- Review and process weekly payroll for all employees (union and non-union)
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with contracts
- Maintain apprentice rates, prevailing wage rates by job
- Set up employee files including accruals, pay increases and PTO.
- Track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
- Audit State and Federal prevailing wage projects
- Update monthly union spreadsheets and submit hours in union portals
- Work with subcontractors to get their certified payroll
- Onboarding, benefits administration, and some recruiting
Job Title Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll with some HR knowledge preferred
- Experience in Construction industry a plus
- Knowledge of Certified payroll/unions a plus
