Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Compensation: $30-$35 an hour

Job Summary:

A local client of ours in the medical industry is looking for a Payroll Specialist for the following 5-6 months. This role is responsible for processing full cycle bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees. The position is temporary to cover a leave of absence and will require someone work on-site Mon-Fri (full-time).

Job Title Responsibilities:

  • Manage electronic timekeeping system.
  • Perform accurate data entry into payroll processing software.
  • Ensure accurate deductions are taken including garnishments.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll.
  • Distribute paychecks and paystubs.
  • Maintain payroll records and reports.
  • Create and distribute monthly payroll reports.
  • Ensure accurate paid benefits are included in payroll reports.
  • Calculate and implement wage changes.
  • Process other checks as needed.

Job Title Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or 3+ years in similar role for medium to large organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of Paycom a plus.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal payroll laws and regulations preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
