Our Bay Area client has an immediate need for a strong Payroll Specialist to come onboard for at least 6 months with potential to extend longer. This will be a fully remote and long-term engagement.

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for 400 employees mostly US on Workday (potentially international - EMEA AND APAC regions). Ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines. Experience with processing payroll on Workday is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing US and international payrolls
  • Research and resolve payroll related issues
  • Understanding of federal and state payroll tax and labor laws
  • Set up new payroll tax accounts
  • Respond to internal and external requests and inquiries
  • Collecting, verifying, and recording employee attendance
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and database
  • Garnishments wages, commissions, and deductions
  • Audit payroll records
Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience processing payroll via Workday is required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Problem solver & ability to take initiative
  • US multi-state and International payroll processing experience a plus
