Job Title: Payroll Technician

Location: Sacramento
Compensation: $24-$27 an hour

Job Summary:

A local non-profit client of ours is looking for a Payroll Technician for the following 4-5 months. This role is responsible for providing support to HR/Payroll department. This is a Monday thru Friday role with option of 2 days remote per week after 2 months of training.

Job Title Responsibilities:

  • Review timesheets for accuracy
  • Process separation checks
  • Download tax withholding forms for review
  • Research inquiries regarding payroll transactions
  • Complete wage verification reports
  • Data entry of payroll data to balance payroll to GL.
  • Obtain timesheet approval for unapproved timesheets for prior pay periods
  • Review pay statement account number changes
  • Audit accrual adjustments
  • Act as backup for payroll processing for all payroll cycles
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries
  • Other data entry assignments as needed

Job Title Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll
  • Knowledge of Excel and ERP software a plus
