What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of all-encompassing HR experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, PHR or SHRM is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of DEI standards.
  • Experience in CA labor laws in a small and medium business settings.
  • Adaptable, consultative, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.

The Role

The People Operations Manager is responsible for leading all HR responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for a talented leader with well-versed HR experience to grow within a technologically savvy and collaborative company. Your day will include creating and managing our core HR programs and processes, compliance, partnering with leadership on all HR matters, recruiting and onboarding employees and contractors.

This will be a hybrid role but prefer a candidate who resides in the SF Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Core HR

  • Deliver on core HR requirements for a team that is growing in employees and contractors.
  • Oversee the outsourced payroll and benefits provider.
  • Create needed payroll and benefits programs in additional states.
  • Full cycle recruitments for new hires
  • Compensation analysis with our finance team.
  • Review programs and policies for compliance with employment laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Update the Employee Handbook with new laws and regulations as needed.

  • Be the advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Responsible for addressing and resolving employee relations issues to minimize risk and build a healthy and collaborative culture.
  • Collaborate, share new ideas and don't be afraid to speak up on matters that will influence the business, team and culture.
