Responsible for (planning, scheduling and observing) the movement of materials and returns through the production cycle to establish required materials required to complete a job. This opportunity develops specifications for new and existing contract orders, assesses vendor reliability, and builds new supply sources when they are inadequate. The position is further responsible for timely planning inventory control of material as assigned, and performing the following duties:

Essential Responsibilities include the following. (other duties may be assigned):

  • Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
  • Plans and lists workflow for each department according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Accelerates operations that delay schedules to meet unforeseen situations.
  • Assures that the commodity arrives on schedule, at the negotiated cost, and meets the quality standards of the company.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements.
  • Plans cycle of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Creates lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Inventory Software.
  • 1-3 years directly related experience.
  • Follow all import/export requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 sigma/Kaizen
