Responsibilities:

  • Maintain manufacturing equipment - including preventative maintenance, taking measurements, calibration, and documentation
  • Solve Production line issues related to equipment and perform complex repairs with limited guidance
  • Write and execute equipment validation protocols and reports (IQOQPQ)
  • Recommend equipment and tooling improvements to engineers based on operators' feedback and personal working experience
  • Maintain Production EFT spares inventory and procure replacements as needed
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements in equipment, manufacturing processes, and SOPs and Work Instructions related to preventative maintenance and calibration
  • Assemble fixtures and use 3D printer to print replacement parts
  • Modify fixtures and tooling as needed
  • Work with engineers to support miscellaneous activities and projects
  • Coordinate with different teams and coworkers to accomplish tasks

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with & troubleshooting complex equipment, both in-house designed equipment and sourced equipment
  • Self-starter with a proven track record to engage in proactive learning and remain productive with minimal supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • An empathic individual who engages in and facilitates a high level of teamwork and cross-functional collaboration as needed
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude in a stressful and dynamic environment
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to lead multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize projects and tasks
  • Willingness to work swing shift
  • Ability to travel locally between sites in Santa Clara and Redwood City up to 50%

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in medical device industry and intimate knowledge of quality systems
  • Experience using measurement tools such as multimeters, temperature probes, pin & ring gauges
  • Maintenance or engineering experience within a high-volume production line environment
  • Experience with CERDAAQ
