Our South Bay client is small but mighty! They're changing the lives of MILLIONS of children globally by improving the visionary needs of those dealing with myopia. Due to an increased demand, we're seeking to partner with a Procurement (Supply Chain or Purchasing) professional to support its growing Manufacturing operations.

If you have a passion for changing lives, not just vision, read on for this incredible opportunity. In this role, you'll be tasked with, but not limited to the following:

  • Working with suppliers in procurement of services and products in a timely and cost-effective manner, as required by the production schedule for our medical device product.
  • Working with Production Management to schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the manufacturing process.
  • Managing vendor and distributor relationships including gathering quotations, examining bids, and assisting in contract negotiation as appropriate.
  • Analyze and evaluate current suppliers. Work with suppliers to drive higher quality product with improved quality performance.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate NDA, SOW's, and Master Purchase Agreement on behalf of the company, as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers.
  • Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution based on key quality metrics, working together with the RAQA function.
  • Develop key performance measures for chosen suppliers and negotiate continuously for improved quality and cost.
  • Ensure delivery of high quality / on time product to distributors per contract negotiated & SLA.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Procurement Management activities.
  • Well versed in the areas of procurement and sourcing processes including a fundamental understanding in manufacturing and materials planning.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work cross functionally as an individual contributor in a fast paced, startup environment.
  • ERP system experience, Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, AM hours

Compensation: $35-$40+ per hour (commensurable upon experience)

Assignment: Contract to hire
