Procurement Specialist
South San Francisco, Hybrid
$35-$40 per hour

Purchasing Contractor Role Responsibilities:

· Serves as primary purchasing contact for our Engineering teams.

· Ability to process a high volume of POs (250-300 POs average/month).

· Creating Purchase Orders in Coupa from Bill of Materials.

o Track Purchase Orders in BOMs.

o Update Bill of Materials and Inventory as needed.

· Update Coupa upon receipt of orders.

· Set up new suppliers in Coupa.

· Invoice reconciliation.

· Verify supplier orders are placed and confirm their delivery dates.

· Verify with suppliers that orders are on time and as scheduled.

· Handle customer information requests.

· Partner with suppliers and stakeholders to purchase goods and services at an optimal price concurrent with maintaining quality standards.

· Ensure compliance with the Quality System and Approved Supplier List.

· Help assist with setting up new suppliers.

· Ability to manage multiple projects with high fluidity considering priorities changes.

· Occasional package receiving, maybe processing of around 30 packages a day (this is on a fill in basis for our Full time receiver when he's out).

o This process involves simple acceptance of packages and getting them to whomever they belong. We do not have a formal tracking for this, will just need to look items up as they come.

Requirements & Skills:

· Needs to have 2-3 years of procurement experience minimum. It would be nice to have experience related to vendors that support engineering activities (machining, plastics, injection molding, electrical, etc.)

· Ability to work onsite 3+ days per week, although this is a hybrid position there is an expectation to be onsite a few days a week and as needed.

· Experience working with US Customs & Border Protection.

· Ability to work cross functionally and foster teamwork with internal customers and partners.

· Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent (Word, Excel, GSheets, Smartsheets).

· Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment and problem solving ability.

· Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

· Familiarity with Netsuite/Coupa or similar MRP software navigation within the procurement and material management modules
