Public Relations Associate
St. Helena, CA

  • Support and collaborate with Public Relations team to create and execute communications activities
  • Develop, manage and disseminate Press Props, or vehicle by which all accolades are communicated to stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Brand Marketing to stay current on vintage releases, wine details and tastings to support submissions
  • Manage scoring submissions and tracking across all brands
  • Maintain current scores and accolades database
  • Maintain press clips library
  • Oversee relationship, contract and functionality of content clipping services
  • Schedule and process media mailings with PR Manager to support new releases and launches
  • Create and maintain editorial calendar based on target publications and brand objectives
  • Help devise messaging and materials to use in pitching media and follow through to facilitate placement
  • Build relationships with press and maintain media contact database
  • Assist with writing and distributing press releases and other communications materials
  • Manage and execute at events across portfolio
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

  • Education: BA/BS in PR/communications or related field
  • Years of Experience: 2-3 years professional or internship experience, ideally in winery setting or agency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; social and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow; commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Good foundation of wine knowledge and wine business
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional long hours and/or weekends and to be productive and cooperative under stressful situations
  • Proficient on MS Office Suite, Adobe, and other required computer programs
