RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor open sales order portal to create and issue appropriate purchase orders.
  • Coordinate stock transfers amongst eight locations when needed.
  • Monitor the inventory for eight branches and work with the Director to establish proper inventory levels.
  • Work with vendors to resolve delays in delivery and shipment errors.
  • Make sure PO acknowledgements are reviewed and corrections made as needed.
  • Assist A/P as needed to make ensure vendor invoices are paid timely.
  • Provide administrative support for shipping, billing, and purchasing issues at eight locations. ? Participate in demand forecasting and issuance of stock POs.

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience preferably with a distribution company
  • Understanding of manufacturer lead times, customer required dates, back orders, special pricing, etc. Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Requires independent time management, strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience interacting with cross functional team: Sales, Project Management, Warehouse ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. "Phone first, email second." ? Ability to multitask.
  • Essential computer skills required (MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Epicor Prophet 21 preferred.
  • Must be punctual and dependable.
