General Qualification Requirements:
? Minimum 4 to 6 years of related experience in purchasing and/or inventory management.
? Experience with issuing International Purchase Orders
? Understanding of Import and Export procedures
? Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and experience with Great
Plains or equivalent accounting software a plus.
? Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
? Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a
? Detail-oriented, organized, and have the proven ability to handle multiple tasks.
? Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel & Microsoft Office.
? Ability to work as a team as well as work independently and a fast learner.
? Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Primary Description of Job Responsibilities:
? Creating, verifying and tracking purchase orders in the system.
? Contacting vendors for information and price quotes and maintain vendor price list files
? Fax/Email orders to suppliers, get order confirmation and expedite as needed.
? Follow up on open orders, partial shipments and late deliveries and communicate to Sales
and Customer Service on product delivery dates.
? Contact suppliers and make arrangements for the return of defective and/or incorrect
product received from vendors, process invoices for payment and work with Account
Payable to resolves any discrepancies with suppliers.
? Assist in negotiations, preparation and execution of contract agreements to help ensure
? Process Sales Orders for Intercompany and Middle East sales.
? Experience with the preparation of shipping documents for International shipments via
various freight companies, freight forwarders, UPS and Federal Express.
? Scheduling pick up of Intercompany and Middle East shipments via various freight
companies, freight forwarders, UPS and Federal Express.
