Regionally and Globally recognized Union City based Manufacturing company is seeking a few Purchasing Clerks to help get caught on back logged Pos and business requests. Compensation: (Commensurable upon experience) $30-$40+ per hour

Assignment: Contract (potential for contract to hire depending on results, effort and interest)

Location: HYBRID (varying remote and in-office expectations). To start off, in-office training, orientation, etc. to get acclimated with the SOPs, teammates and duties overall.

Position: Purchasing Clerk

Brief summary/overview: Purchase and expedite inventory items, specifically purchasing parts as required by the ERP/MRP report and individual purchase requisitions. Performs follow up procedures to ensure delivery integrity. Investigates and corrects discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices as requested by Accounts Payable.

Majority of the day to day tasks are, but not limited to:

  • Obtains accurate pricing and delivery information from specified vendor - issues and prints purchase orders and maintains a vendor confirmation log.
  • Reviews and interprets client's Purchase Order Log
  • Investigates and corrects discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices as requested by Accounts Payable.
  • Assists the Buyer, as required.
  • PO processing of 50-60 requests per day.
  • Communicate/Update Buyer, Engineers, Field Technicians and other supporting staff.

To succeed in this role, we're looking for the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Previous Supply Chain experience a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communications required
  • Ability to interpret documents, instructions and procedures
  • Finite Alpha/Numeric Data Entry skills
  • Maintain accurate and legible records
  • Basic math skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP software
  • Intermediate experience communicating with Buyers, Manufacturers and Engineers
